Enchanted Polish - I am the Walrus + Ola Rio

Here are a couple more Enchanted Polishes today.  I am the Walrus is another holographic multichrome. I thought this would be quite similar to Ozotic Mish Mash 531, which it is, and it isn't.  When I wrote about Mish Mash 531, I believed it was a holographic version of Ozotic multichrome 502.  I think I am the Walrus looks more like a holo version of Ozotic 520.  Of course 502 and 520 are nearly the same as can be seen in this comparison. 

The other big different between the Enchanted Polishes and the Ozotics, which I have said before, is the opacity of the polish.  These photos show I am the Walrus at three coats on it's own.  I like not having to layer these over black.  Although, the holo effect in the Enchanted Polishes is not as strong as the Ozotic ones.

I am the Walrus shifts from a pinkish red through to a golden orange.  These photos are taken in full sun.

In the shade you don't see the holo effect, but the multichrome colours really come out.

To bring out the full spectrum of the multichrome colours, here are some under water photos.

Next I added Ola, Rio on top.  Ola Rio is a multichrome glitter like the Ozotic Elytra 530 and Hits Airglow and it is packed with glitter.  The Ozotic version is a little sparse, but this is excellent.  The colour shift in this glitter is the same as Ia m the  Walrus, going from pinky red to golden orange.

As you can see, my bottles are the old version with the paper labels.  Enchanted Polish how has gorgeous bottles with a printed castle emblem on it.

Enchanted Polish - Octopus's Garden & Bonjour Paris

Enchanted Polish Octopus's Garden is one yummy polish.  This is a holographic multi-chrome that is dupy of discontinued Ozotic Mish Mash 534. The main different is that Octopus's Garden can easily be built to opacity on it's own using three coats.

I love that you don't have to wear it over black and can still get a fantastic colour shift.  There are a bazillion photos here of this polish - sorry, there is just so much to capture.  First I'm wearing three coats with seche vite top coat, taken in full sun.

Now the outrageously duo-chrome under water shots.  You can see I wrapped some sticky tape on the labels so they didn't get ruined.  Nothing else fancy going on here - no photo shopping, just fingers in a bowl of water.

Next I added a layer of Bonjour, Paris - which is a dupe for discontinued Ozotic Elytra 529. So Bonjour, Paris = Ozotic Elytra 529 = Hits Afterglow, but here is the reason this polish is better.  It's full sized and the glitter payoff is amazing.  Both the Ozotic and to some extent the Hits polishes are a little sparse with the glitter.  Bonjour, Paris is packed with glitter and I only needed one coat to get a good glitterly cover.

Enchanted Polish - Mean Mr Mustard says Hello, New York

I have two Enchanted Polishes to share with you today.

Mean Mr Mustard is a holographic multichrome, along the same lines as the discontinued Ozotic Mish Mash.  But the best part is, this shade was never created as an Mish Mash.  Mean Mr Mustard is a dupe of Ozotic 507 in terms of multichrome colour and shift, but this is also holographic, where clearly Ozotic 507 isn't.

The holo sparkle isn't terribly strong, but it is stronger than my photos show.  It's so hard to capture both holo and multichrome in one polish.  Cause holos love sun, but multichromes look best in the shade.

Mean Mr Mustard is also much more opaque than Ozotic 507.  You could easily get this opaque on it's own at three coats, but this time I did one coat over a black base.

You can see the holo sparkle a bit in this one.

The colour shift is from yellow gold through a minty green to a teal blue.

I love these next photos, but I admit that again I have cheated.  Did you know that the best way to see the full multichromic shift of a polish is to photograph it underwater?  Here's the proof.

Next is where Mean Mr Mustard say's Hello, New York.

Hello, New York is a multichromatic glitter, just like the discontinued Ozotic Elytra's, but again, this shade was never made as an Elytra.  It was released as one of the Hits Phenomena polishes - Borealis I think it was, but I never got those polishes.

I remember how much I loved wearing a multichrome glitter over it's matching multichrome shade, so that's what I decided to try first.  By adding the matching glitter this mani just takes off to a whole nother level.

Hello, New York also shifts from yellow gold through a minty green to a teal blue and the glitter payoff is sensational.  My biggest complaint with the Elytras was that while they were gorgeous, the glitter applied very sparsely.  Not with these.  They are very generously packed with the multichrome glitter, and these photos show just one coat of Hello, New York on top of Mean Mr Mustard. Formula was excellent, the glitter spread out nicely and only one layer of top coat needed.

 

Yep - this looks totally amazing, but in the interests of full disclosure, the next three photos are taken under water.

Finally, here is one coat of Hello, New York layered over black. First a regular picture taken indoors near a window.

And  now the underwater shots. No other trick photography, just stick your hand in some water and you will see this!

So, do you think you would have known that some of these photos were taken underwater if I hadn't told you?  Or would you just have thought I was some multichrome photographic whizz?? LOL.

Enchanted Polish - Hey Jude

I'm sure most of you have heard of indie brand Enchanted Polish, well today I have an absolutely stunning polish for you.  Cheslea has done an amazing job with these polishes and I'm so happy that she has this whole range, because it fills a massive hole in the market that was left when the Ozotic Mish Mash polishes were discontinued.  

Enchanted Polish has a whole range of multichromatic holographic polishes.  Some are the same colours as the Ozotic Mish Mash, but other - like this one - are shades that Ozotic never made as Mish Mash shades.  I will eventually get to show you them all!

Hey Jude is basically a holographic version of Ozotic 503 or Ludurana Aurora Boreal Brave or Hits Mari Moon Chameleon.

The other reason I love these Enchanted Polishes so much is that as well as being holographic and multichromatic, they are opaque enough to wear on their own. Sure you can wear a black base if you want, but for this mani I just did three coats of Hey Jude on its own. I love that I don't have to layer it.  

The very base shimmer to this polish is actually a tan brown colour, which you can see in my very last photo.  But the predominant colour is green, which flips through teal shades to purple.  It's hard to believe that so many colours can come from one polish.

The only thing I dislike about multichromatic holographic polishes is that they are so hard to photograph.  Holo polishes look best in the sun where all their little coloured particles show through.  Multichromes look way better in the shade.  The best photos are probably achieved in a light box, but I don't have one and I know if I build one, then one of my cats would just sleep in it anyway.  

So with that caveat on my photos, I present lots and lots of photos of the beautiful polish - Hey Jude.
