Ulta3 glitters - hummm. They say if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. I'll try to be nice.
The 'blue glitter' was the best of them, this was three coats. I reckon I could get it opaque with another three. The glitter in this isn't round, it's jaggered and of various sizes. I love the color of this glitter, I just wish there was more in the bottle and that the base had a tint rather than being clear.
Confetti was so disappointing. It looks fantastic in the bottle. It's a clear base with small round glitter particles in mostly purple, but also blue, silver and green glitter. Unfortunately, there just isn't enough glitter in the bottle or something, because this was three coats and there is barely anything on my plain boring nails.
But wait, it gets worse. Red glitter also looks great in the bottle, lots of tiny round red glitter particles. But I just couldn't get any coverage on the nail. This again was three coats. : (
Charmed is a green glitter (obviously) which has small round green glitter and also what I will call micro glitter. This micro glitter can't really be seen in the pic, but imagine one glitter particle split into eight pieces, that's the size of the micro glitter. This helps make the polish a little better than confetti and red glitter, but not as good as the blue glitter. This again was three coats.
I found all these polishes to be really runny, which meant the glitter ran off the brush, leaving nothing to go on the nail. They are clearly designed to be glitter top coats, but I don't really like glitter top coats. I want a glitter polish that is opaque in just a few coats with a tinted base. And these aren't.
There is also a gold glitter in the range called gold digger, but I have so many gold glitters that I didn't need a sub par one. So far these polishes have been my only disappointments in the Ulta3 range.
