Lynnderella - Billet Doux

Lynnderella Billet Doux was one of the limited edition polishes released by Lynnderella around Valentines Day earlier this year.  Just in case you are wondering what Billet Doux means, it's a love letter, or a short sweet note, and it's pronounced "bil-ay-DOO".  What a perfect polish name for a Valentines polish!

I'm positive anyone with kids will have experienced this with their little ones, you see them do or say something, or even give you a look and you think "Wow, that is exactly like my partner".  Mr 4 does things all the time and I just think, OMG there is no doubting who your father is.  And likewise, Miss 17 months does stuff already that I think, "Ah ha, that is exactly me!"

So what has that little commentary got to do with this polish?  Well to me, this polish looks like the love child or Lynnderella's Ruby Red Ruby and The Telltale Heart.  I see the gorgeous red squares and hexes and think, awe they are just like RRR, and then I look at the fuchsia hexes and squares and see that they are just like TTH.  But what I also love is the silver glitters in the polish, a few silver squares here, a silver diamond there, and it shows this polish's personality all of its very own.

This is two thickly dabbled coats of Billet Doux layered over Zoya Alegra.  It then has four layers of top coat!  Seche Vite, Ulta3 Non-chip, Seche Vite, Ulta3 Non-chip.  While I didn't get any bubbles or wrinkling, by the time I woke up in the morning I did have some tip shrinkage.

Another stunning Lynnderella polish that I am so very grateful to have received. Thank you Lynn and Cathleen!
